More new Silk Road eBook Titles for Kindles

Amazon has made it public that eBook titles are outselling paperback books for the first time.

The Secrets of the Terracotta Warriors is one of the most popular Ebooks and it is available from Amazon’s Kindle book stores. The Kindle formatting options means that the eBook can be read on iPads, Barnes and Noble Readers, Sony readers and on laptops and computers via a PDF format. The books contain a number of impressive color photographs.

Author, Brian Lawrenson, has just released his 24th title. They are all in the travel genre. These are stories of his own travels to more than 70 countries. The new titles include eleven titles in the popular Silk Road Series.

Brian Lawrenson comments, “Each book details the key points of our travel experiences. Travel is about experiencing the best that each country has to offer”.  “The Terracotta Warriors in Xian is one of the fascinating stories and the author after having visited the site first hand has researched the history of the site and he reveals research that has been made in recent years. Much of this is unpublished”.

Brian’s E Books are part of the 700,000 title library that is available on Kindle The list is growing every day. Apart from there being easy to read as the Amazon’s Kindle reader uses the sensational all-new, high-contrast E ink screen, the new version of the reader has better battery life, lighter weight, and lower price. All of which pushes the device to the top of the e-Book Reader category.

The capacity of the reader has also been enhanced and now offers storage for up to 3,500 books. The faster page turns makes for seamless reading. The feature of built-in Wi-Fi makes shopping easy and books can be downloaded in less than 60 seconds directly to the Kindle without the need to download via a computer.

All of Brian Lawrenson’s  e Books in the Silk Road series can be read on a Kindle, iPhone, iPad, PC, Mac, Android device, and BlackBerry.

About the Terracotta Warriors Brian commented, “One of the main reasons that the majority of the warrior remains are still kept under the ground (more than 6,000) is the fact the originally the warriors were painted and as soon as the 2,000 year old paint is exposed to the atmosphere , it powers. This is oxidization. However, new German yechnology is offering polymers that will allow the fragments to be unearthed, preserved, tagged and then the pieces re-assembled. The task of putting together the pieces of each warrior is like putting together a giant jigsaw puzzle. Almost all the statues were smashed and the dedication of the team that puts them together, is exceptional. Some figures can take a month or more to re-assemble. Once reassembled, the restored statues are then put back in the pit in their original position. We look forward to being able to view rows of the Terracotta Warriors in color.”

The Terracotta Warriors were first discovered by four brothers in 1974. In the book you’ll meet one of these. The site is near the Chinese city of Xian. Xian was the fist capital of China and the birthplace of the first Emperor of China, Qin Shihuang. The author described too, how the thousands of replica TCWs are built in a huge factory near the site of the TCWs.

Feedback from readers who have downloaded this eBook is that you’ll find this a fascinating read.
