Kindle and other electronic reading devices — I want your opinions?
I know I’m always the LAST one to invest in tech (I’m old…sue me), but I think this is a good idea. It eliminates the need for a lot of bookshelves — always a problem for me — plus it saves trees and other types of energy involved in printing books (even on recycled paper).
Kindle seems to be the most popular. Any other suggestions and/or reviews?
(((Wayf))) — my Mom was just like you, and never bought a book if she could get it from the library, instead. That’s actually the best solution: to share the resources.
I wish the funding for most of our public libraries hadn’t been slashed so dramatically that the wait time to read a public-library copy of a 2011 best-seller extends to 2013…
I’m not much of a gadget person myself…
whether it be tech, kitchen, household or
otherwise.
I do have family members who have Kindles.
They seem to love them.
PS – I don’t own many books any more.
I use and support my local library.
